Every euro counts.

Would you like to support the Jewish Museum of Westphalia with a one-off donation? We would be so grateful. Any donation, no matter how small, would help us finance our museum work and further expand our educational programs for school students.

More than just a Member: Private Supporters

In 2015 a group of private supporters was created. Members of this group help the museum by donating more than the standard membership fee. The money donated is used for special purposes, such as special school projects or the acquisition of new exhibits. Join the group. As a token of our appreciation, you will receive an invitation to a special event once a year, as well as a free guided tour for you and your friends. On request, we would also be happy to publish your name in our annual report.

The annual membership fee is €250 for private individuals and €260 for corporate members such as associations, municipalities, church communities, federations, and corporations. You can find our membership application form for the support group here.

Socially committed: Corporate Support Group

Would you like your company to support our work? Then become a member of our corporate support group, which we launched at the end of 2025.

By becoming a member of our corporate support group, you also demonstrate to your employees, customers, and business partners how important social responsibility is to you. Corporate support is a crucial element for the success of our work.

Leave a legacy.

Would you like your last will to include support for a cultural or educational cause? You may well wish to make provisions for your family or maybe you have no family but whatever you do, it is worth considering naming a non-profit organization, such as the Association of the Jewish Museum of Westphalia, as a beneficiary. It will be exempt from inheritance tax – and you’ll be helping to secure and improve our important work!
What should you consider in such a case? Wills must either be handwritten, meaning entirely in your own handwriting, or drawn up by a notary. They must include your name, the place, date, and signature. The content should be precise and unambiguous to avoid any room for interpretation that could lead to disputes in the future. Legal advice is therefore recommended.

If you are considering leaving a bequest or legacy to our Association for Jewish History and Religion, please feel free to contact us. Get in touch with our museum director, Dr. Kathrin Pieren: pieren@jmw-dorsten.de

Donate. The best way to provide long-term support.

In 1999, the Jewish Museum of Westphalia Foundation was established with the support of the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia to ensure the museum’s long-term work . The Foundation is supported by the District of Recklinghausen and the Sparkasse Vest Recklinghausen savings bank. We receive regular contributions from the funds of the Foundation (interest and donations), primarily to cover the personnel costs of the Jewish Museum.

It would be wonderful if you could make a donation and thus support our museum in the long term. This would increase our Foundation’s capital and help secure our work for the future. Just contact Dr. Kathrin Pieren (pieren@jmw-dorsten.de), the director of the Jewish Museum in Dorsten. Thank you.
